This post is a long time coming...sorry for the delay. The past three weeks have been so crazy...but we are reminded this is our life, so we will roll with the craziness. Three weeks ago.... August 29th Tyler and I had our first appointment with the Reproductive Specialist, Dr. Singleton. When we got to her office, we sat down and she went through a long list of questions for both of us. Then, we got down to business. Dr. Singleton went through all my previous test results from Dr. Huffman and agreed that Poly Cystic Ovarian Syndrome was probably the cause of me not ovulating. However, she wanted to do ONE more test (which Dr. Huffman did not do) to make sure I truly had PCOS. She said after this test...if it confirmed what she and Dr. Huffman believed to be true she would prescribe Metformin. Metformin is used to treat type two diabetes, however, they also use this drug to treat PCOS. Dr. Singleton describe the difficulties that come with Metformin. Those difficulties ...
